Every Friday we highlight five things we have on our radar that we think should be on yours, too.

To celebrate the holiday season, our designers will be sharing their own visual spin on the ’12 Days of TWAmas’ series. Follow us on instagram @workingassembly and see the first one tomorrow!

Here’s this week’s Friday Fives.

Supreme Style

Ruth Bader Ginsberg was not only a champion of gender equality and an American icon, but a fashion pioneer. The justices’ robes, designed for men to show off their ties, were made stylish with a wide range of collars she collected from friends and admirers. TIME photographed some of her favorites and told stories behind the special meaning of each one. It’s fascinating to get a closer look at the ornamental details of these collars that not only brought a much needed feminine energy to the Supreme Court, but also were an important symbol of powerful women. I hope to see these in a museum one day, where we will look back on RBG’s incredible legacy. — ZL

Two For One

Pantone revealed its Color of the Year 2021. Well actually, colors of the year. Yes, they have decided to grace 2021 with not one, but two colors — Ultimate Gray and a sunny yellow called Illuminating. Pantone explains it’s “a marriage of color conveying a message of strength and hopefulness”, aka the light at the end of the tunnel. While there seems to be divided opinions on these color choices (as always), I would say this is a step up from 2020’s Classic Blue, which probably wasn’t the most fitting choice given how the year actually panned out. So here’s to 2021 being as uplifting as Pantone predicts. — CC

The Year in Reddit

It’s that time of year where everyone and every brand is reflecting on 2020. And with the internet-sized hole left by YouTube’s decision not to do a year in review, Reddit and R/GA stepped in with a delightful yet poignant look at life during quarantine. From toilet paper shortages to the return of Borat, it’s worth remembering that as hard as it was, humans are wonderfully weird creatures in any circumstance. And there might be nobody better than Reddit to remind us of that fact. — CM

Hawaii’s Calling

If you were told a year ago that the state of Hawaii would fly you to the island for free for a month, would you have believed me? Probably not, right? Well, it’s surprisingly true. The state is looking to recruit “talented professionals to diversify” the island, and is launching the program Movers & Shakas where they will be selecting 50 applicants for a free round-trip ticket to Oahu to work remotely. The lucky applicants will also get discounted hotel stays, co-working spaces, and “regular community-building opportunities.” Sound too good to be true? Check out this article to learn more (and maybe apply). Aloha. — EO

Justice is Best Served Cold

Ben & Jerry’s is known for partnering with unexpected celebrities to create new ice cream flavors, like their Americone Dream with Stephen Colbert. This time, they’ve partnered with the former NFL quarterback and activist Colin Kaepernick to introduce Change the Whirled — a vegan, caramel sunflower butter flavor with all of your favorite toppings. This new dessert comes after a summer of social activism and a powerful statement by Ben & Jerry’s condemning white supremacy. Since a portion of the proceeds from your purchase goes to Know Your Rights Camp, you don’t have to feel guilty eating a whole carton of Change the Whirled by yourself…right? — NY
